Much of PAGE's work is done through the work of our committees. We welcome anyone to join one (or more!) of our committees to help make our community a better place for everyone.
PAGE hosts numerous events throughout the year, in addition to collaborating with other groups/organizations and cosponsoring events. Some of our recent events include the Black History Month essay/art contest, Teen/Tween Pride Celebration, and a Dia De Los Muertos educational event.
Meets the first Wednesday of every month.
The PAGE Policy and Housing Committee reviews School District and Village policies with a lens of equity. If new policies need to be created, we work to make that happen. We collaborate with the School Board and Village officials to try to bring positive changes in our systems/practices/policies so that all Village residents reach their full potential. PAGE also collaborates with local organizations on housing issues including You Owe Us (Y.O.U.), The Redress Movement, and the Fair Housing Council of Metropolitan Milwaukee.
Meets the second Wednesday of every month at 7pm via Google Meet.
We advocate for accessibility for all in Greendale, and invite residents to reach out to us with concerns and suggestions.
Next meeting: November 17 at 6:30pm on Google Meet.
Our immigration committee works with other Milwaukee County groups to advocate for our immigrant neighbors. We encourage people to take Know Your Rights trainings.
Reach more people in our community and plan ways to spread the word about PAGE's work through our Outreach Committee.
Meets the third Thursday of every month on Google Meet.
Our newest committee is being formed to support our Vice President in exploring fundraising opportunities, particularly to support PAGE scholarships.
We welcome ideas for more committees. Let us know if you think there is a need for an additional focus for our work!
